- 01Time domain analysis of discrete-time signals & systems: linear-time invariant systems, impulse response, convolution, causality and stability, representation of LTI systems
- 02Frequency domain analysis of discrete-time signals and systems: discrete-time Fourier series, discrete-time Fourier transform, properties and applications, Z-transform representation of discrete time signals and systems, properties and applications
- 03Sampling in time and frequency domain
- 04Discrete Fourier transform (DFT) and properties, linear convolution using DFT
- 05Computation of DFT using Fast Fourier transform (FFT), decimation-in-time and decimation-in-frequency FFT algorithms
- 06Digital filter structures, digital FIR and IIR filter
- 07FIR filter design: FIR design by Window method
- 08IIR filter design: classical filter design using Butterworth approximations, impulse invariant and bilinear transformation methods
- 09Applications of DSP
- 10Self-study: simulation-based studies of the selected topics
